Villa Vigna - 5 bedroom villa, shared pool on wine estate
Farmhouse La Vigna is a traditional five-bedroom Tuscan farmhouse sleeping up to 10 guests, set within the renowned Tenuta di Petrolo, in the heart of the Val d’Arno di Sopra. Surrounded by organic olive groves, vineyards, and open countryside, the house enjoys wide views over rolling Tuscan hills and offers a private garden along with access to a beautiful shared swimming pool, making it ideal for families or groups seeking an authentic Tuscany farmhouse rental on a prestigious wine estate.
The entrance to La Vigna is reached via a short flight of steps and opens into a spacious country kitchen featuring a large traditional Tuscan fireplace. From the kitchen, you access the separate living room as well as all bedrooms, creating an easy and comfortable layout for group living. The house offers five bedrooms and four bathrooms, three of which are ensuite, along with fans in all bedrooms, WiFi, and a living room with TV.
Outside, La Vigna is set within its own private garden area, furnished with an outdoor dining table and BBQ, perfect for relaxed meals in the open air. The estate provides free firewood all year round, ideal for cooler months and atmospheric evenings by the fireplace.
The swimming pool, measuring 6 × 12 metres with a depth of 1.5 metres, is located approximately 50–80 metres from the house and is shared only with Feriale I and Feriale II, ensuring a peaceful and uncrowded swimming experience. Surrounded by vineyards and countryside, the pool offers a quiet place to relax after a day exploring Tuscany.
La Vigna combines traditional Tuscan character with space, comfort, and a truly special setting, making it an excellent choice for guests seeking a countryside holiday villa with genuine atmosphere, beautiful views, and access to outstanding local food and wine.
La Vigna forms part of the Tenuta di Petrolo, a historic Tuscan wine estate located on the hills of Val d’Arno di Sopra, on the southeastern edge of the Chianti region. The estate extends across vineyards, organic olive groves, oak woodland, and private lakes, and lies within easy reach of Florence, Siena, and Arezzo, all approximately 30–45 minutes away by car.
Petrolo is internationally known for its award-winning wines and organic extra virgin olive oil, produced using low-yield, quality-driven methods. Guests staying at La Vigna are welcome to arrange winery visits and guided tastings, with the opportunity to purchase estate wines and olive oil directly on site. A defining landmark of the estate is the ancient Tower of Galatrona, with origins dating back to Etruscan and Roman times, dominating the surrounding countryside and lending its name to some of Petrolo’s most celebrated wines.
The estate accommodates guests across six properties in total — the historic Villa Petrolo and five independent farmhouses — hosting up to 79 guests altogether. Villa Petrolo sleeps 33 guests, Bòggina sleeps 9, La Vigna sleeps 10, La Costa sleeps 8, Feriale I sleeps up to 10, and Feriale II sleeps up to 6 guests including the sofa bed. This flexible layout makes Petrolo particularly well suited to large family gatherings, weddings, and private events.
A distinctive feature of the estate is its private chapel, where guests may also choose to celebrate weddings and blessing ceremonies in a truly atmospheric and historic setting. All events, guest services, and experiences can be fully organised on site with the support of the experienced and very helpful estate manager, Marco, ensuring a smooth and memorable stay.
