La Corbella - 3 bedroom house with jacuzzi

A traditional Tuscan house in the hills north of Lucca only 2 minutes walk from the centre of a pretty medieval village with spectacular views.

This pristine three bedroom, one bathroom house has everything you need for a special holiday in traditional Tuscany, off the normal tourist trails.

There is a lovely terrace with an inflatable jacuzzi, outdoor furniture, and a BBQ. The terrace is beautifully lit in the evening.

Sitting own it's own at the end of a local road and surrounded by a chestnut woodland, expect privacy and tranquility during your stay.

The beautiful woodland is attached directly to the patio and there is a lovely walk through the trees to reach the village, a few minutes walk away. The safe and enclosed garden/forest would be interesting for children to play in and explore.

La Corbella has been well looked after and has traditional antique furnishings. The kitchen is brand new and well equipped and has a dishwasher. The tiled bathroom has a shower, sink and bidet.

Upstairs, the house has three bright double bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom has access to a private balcony that looks out onto the patio and trees below. Downstairs is the living room/ dining room which has a fireplace. The kitchen and airy hall are also downstairs.

The house has terracotta tiles throughout to keep it cool in the summer.

La Corbella is a place to enjoy a family holiday in a traditional Tuscan village with links to other notable places.

The outdoor area has a good sized patio with an inflatable jacuzzi and outdoor furniture as well as a BBQ. There is an ancient chestnut tree in the garden that is over 200 years old.

The village, which has pre-Roman origins, is home to the grandmother of the master of Tango, Astor Piazzolla, and there is a statue and plaque honoring him. The village is made out of red marble from the mountain on which it sits. There is an ancient church in the stone village as well as a little traditional cafe/bar. The nearest restaurant, very well known in the area, is under a 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk.

In the summer evenings, the village is known to host events for the locals.

All services including supermarkets, pharmacy, shops, more bars and restaurants etc are located about 4 km away. The surrounding scenery and villages are spectacular. There are many local walks and the owner, who is an avid hiker can recommend good hiking routes in the nearby Apuane and Appenine Alps. Indeed the village looks spectacularly onto the Apuane Alps, whilst the Appenines sit behind it.

The house is approximately 1 hour by car from Lucca and an hour and a half from Pisa airport.
