Farmhouse La Costa is an elegant Tuscan farmhouse sleeping up to 8 guests, offering four bedrooms and four ensuite bathrooms, set within the renowned Tenuta di Petrolo. Positioned at approximately 400 metres above sea level, the house enjoys breathtaking panoramic views across the Valdarno valley and is located on a natural hillside terrace just below the historic Tower of Galatrona, the iconic landmark of the estate. La Costa is located approximately 500 metres from the main estate house, Villa Petrolo, offering privacy and tranquillity while remaining within easy reach of the heart of the estate, and is surrounded on three sides by chestnut and oak woodland.

The farmhouse is arranged over two floors. On the upper floor, an entrance porch leads to a landing with a sofa bed (available on request for two additional guests beyond the standard occupancy of eight), along with one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. One of the bathrooms on this level also incorporates the laundry facilities.

The lower floor features a fully equipped kitchen with fireplace, a bright and welcoming living room, and a fourth bedroom, which can be arranged as a twin or double, with ensuite bathroom and direct access to the garden.

Outside, La Costa is surrounded by its own private garden, with a beautiful shaded dining area overlooking the valley, ideal for relaxed outdoor meals. The farmhouse benefits from an exclusive private swimming pool, measuring 5 × 10 metres with a depth of 1.7 metres, set into the hillside and offering uninterrupted views across the countryside. A BBQ is provided, and firewood is available free of charge all year round, perfect for both outdoor cooking and cooler evenings by the fireplace.

La Costa combines space, comfort, and one of the most spectacular panoramic positions on the Petrolo estate, making it particularly appealing for families or groups seeking privacy, a private pool, and unforgettable views in an authentic Tuscan setting.

La Costa forms part of the Tenuta di Petrolo, a historic Tuscan wine estate located on the hills of Val d’Arno di Sopra, on the southeastern edge of the Chianti region. The estate extends across vineyards, organic olive groves, oak woodland, and private lakes, and lies within easy reach of Florence, Siena, and Arezzo, all approximately 30 to 45 minutes away by car.

Petrolo is internationally known for its award-winning wines and organic extra virgin olive oil, produced using low-yield, quality-driven methods. Guests are welcome to arrange winery visits and guided tastings, with the opportunity to purchase estate wines and olive oil directly on site. The ancient Tower of Galatrona, with origins dating back to Etruscan and Roman times, dominates the surrounding landscape and lends its name to some of Petrolo’s most celebrated wines.

The estate accommodates guests across six properties in total, the historic Villa Petrolo and five independent farmhouses, hosting up to 79 guests altogether. Villa Petrolo sleeps 33 guests, Bòggina sleeps 9, La Vigna sleeps 10, La Costa sleeps 8, Feriale I sleeps up to 10, and Feriale II sleeps up to 6 guests including the sofa bed. This flexible layout makes Petrolo particularly well suited to large family gatherings, weddings, and private events.

A distinctive feature of the estate is its private chapel, where guests may also choose to celebrate weddings and blessing ceremonies in a truly atmospheric and historic setting. All events, guest services, and experiences, including private chef services on request, can be fully organised on site with the support of the experienced and very helpful estate manager, Marco, ensuring a smooth and memorable stay.
