Alventura has been described as 'staying in your own boutique villa'. Nestled in 10 acres of private woodland, landscaped gardens and olive terraces the villa feels secluded but is within 1 mile of the beautiful hill top town of Barga. Alventura has been traditionally restored with luxury and space in mind and has a traditionally Tuscan yet contemporary feel.

This stunning 3 bedroom villa has been renovated to a very high standard. The villa is spacious with 3 bedrooms with en-suites and adjoining living spaces, a large well equipped kitchen and large open plan living room. The garden is large with many outdoor spaces which have been filled with comfortable and quality outdoor furnishings. The villa has been lovingly restored using the natural materials available on the land. Internally the decor is modern and stylish. The mature garden boasts a pizza oven and BBQ area as well as private pool and children's adventure playground. There is a luxurious feel to this large 3 bedroom villa with attention to detail in every corner. Perfect for families with its large private pool, children's tree house and playground area, various shaded outdoor seating areas with panoramic views and an outdoor kitchen, you will find it hard to leave. The owner Anne, is from the UK and will enhance your stay with insider tips about the surrounding area including fantastic walking routes. The beautiful town of Barga with its famous winding streets and fantastic restaurants, is only 1.5KM from the house, making this villa the ideal place to relax as well as take in the best of Italian culture.

The large living room has a family sized sofa, fireplace and french windows that lead out to the paved terrace and pool. Chestnut beams and terracotta make it a cosy room equipped with SKY TV, DVD, amp for IPOD/ MP3, large book and DVD library, games and Wi-Fi

The open plan kitchen is very well equipped with a large 5 ring hob, gas oven, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, butchers blocks and good knives. There is a also a large dining table in the kitchen that seats 8 people.

Property Information

The hilltop town of Barga has been voted one of the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy. It is a vibrant town with the old part still encircled by fortress walls.There is plenty to keep you occupied with many art galleries, museums, antiques, great choice of restaurants, ice cream shops, cafe's, butchers, bakers, florists, fruit and vegetable vendors, food markets, monthly antiques markets and yearly festivals

 

Outdoor concerts can be found in the old town throughout the summer months, June; Piazetta music festival, July; opera and August; jazz.

 

In the local area there are many natural wonders to explore, Orecchiella national park, renowned for its mass of wild flowers, Orrido di Botri, a small natural canon dug by the torrent Fegana into the rocks. Grotta del vento caves have the largest network of caves in Italy and the Ponte della Maddalena above the Serchio river, also called the Devil's Bridge dating back to the 10th century.

 

For active holidaymakers there is plenty on offer. Hiking, mountain biking, climbing, canoeing, golfing, tree climbing, Horseback riding, tennis, mountaineering, golf and skiing.

 

Barga is an excellent base for exploring Tuscany's cultural cities. Lucca, the only city in Italy with a completely intact encircling wall, is 40 minutes by train or car. Its totally pedestrianised within the walls, making sightseeing a relaxing experience. Hiring bikes and cycling around the city walls is fun for everyone. Florence is 2 hours, and speaks for itself. The Cinque Terra is in reach, by train or car 2 hours.

 

Pisa Airport: 60 Minutes by car.

Florence Airport: 90 Minutes by car.

Car hire is recommended.

Payment Policies

A partial payment in the amount of 25% of the grand total is due no later than 2 day(s) after confirmation of intention to book or upon booking if that date has already passed. Remaining payment is due no later than 56 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation must be made in writing. The cancellation charge will be the full deposit if you cancel before 56 days from the departure date. The following cancellation charges will also apply. Cancellation less than 56 days before departure 100% of the amount paid is chargeable. We will endeavour to re-book any cancelled booking and if successful will only charge you an administration fee of £30. If the villa is re-booked at a lower price then you will be refunded the difference.

If you have booked through Air BnB, a HomeAway partner or TripAdvisor, the cancellation policy may be different and will be described on their website.

Tourist tax not included in the price. Payable to the owner upon arrival

We advise that you to take out holiday cancellation insurance. You are also asked to take out personal holiday insurance to cover such matters as travel, loss of money or belongings, accident, injury and medical expenses as the use of a property is entirely at the client’s risk. Should the owner be unable to provide the property after a booking has been confirmed, you will be immediately offered the choice of a another similar or better property or a refund in full.
