This lovely country villa is in the beautiful Garfagnana region of Northern Tuscany, set in a valley between the Appenine and Apuane Mountains.
Casa Norma sleeps 6 people comfortably. Set over 3 floors the property hosts one master bedroom with kingsize bed, and two twin rooms. There are two bathrooms within the house – one of which includes a roll top bath were you can relax in luxury whilst admiring the spectacular Panio de Corfino Mountain. The second bathroom hosts a modern shower room on the top floor, also offering a view you’d never tire of looking at!
There are a variety of outdoor spaces to enjoy around the property. A magnificent view awaits from the terrace accessible directly from the kitchen, then meander down the stone steps to take a dip in your own private swimming pool. In the evening, have a quiet moment sitting under cover in the barn area as you wait for the pizza oven to heat up.
The electric fanned wood burning stove in the living area allows for cozy nights in, and the entire house comes with Central heating to allow for year round usage of this wonderful property.
Our nearest airport is Pisa Galileo, which has daily flights in from London, and many regular flights from most regional UK airports. From the airport, the house is approximately 1hr 30mins by car. There are many car hire options available at Pisa airport. Full directions will be provided upon booking.
Alternatively there is a regular train timetable from Pisa Centrale station to Castelnuovo Di Garfagnana, a relaxing way to view the beautiful scenery on route. From there you can use local taxis (we can give you the telephone number of an English speaking driver) to reach the house.
There is a local mini-market within a 10 minute walk that supplies all your essentials. A lager fully stocked supermarket can be found in Pieve (approx 15 minutes drive from the house). It's 25 minutes to walk to the village restaurant and pizzeria, and there are numerous restaurants with easy driving distance of the house offering superb italian fare at extremely reasonable prices. e.g. Average 2/3 course lunch costs 10-15 euro including wine!
The historic village of Castiglione is a six minute drive by car or taxi and has a couple of bars with spectacular views and is the heart of local life in the area.
Additional house amenities include free wifi throughout, bed linen, a children’s cot, washing machine and towels. Additional house cleaning is not included during your stay but can be arranged at local currency. One bag of logs provided out of season and additional logs can be provided upon request.
There is a fine tennis court open to the public only 10 minutes walk, at the sports cafe/bar.
The area around the village of Villa Collemandina is without doubt one of the most beautiful parts of all rural Tuscany.

This lovely country villa is in the beautiful Garfagnana region of Northern Tuscany, set in a valley between the Appenine and Apuane Mountains.
The house is situated off the rural road to the village of Pianacci at the end of a lane shared with two other houses. There is a well stocked shop only 10 minutes walk away as well as a little sports cafe/bar at the local playing fields. Further towards the village of Villa Collemandina is an excellent restaurant that serves traditionally cooked meals. The restaurant also sides as a butchers and customers can ask the owners to BBQ their meat for them.
Castelnuovo, the nearby market town, has many restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets and all other types of shops. There is a tourist information office and a weekly market selling a wide variety of fashion, household goods, flowers, fruit and vegetables.
Garfagnana is 'Hidden Tuscany' at its best. With its stunning scenery it is the best area in Tuscany for walking and outdoor activities. We have close ties with an Outdoor Activities company who offer many international class adventures.

A partial payment in the amount of 25% of the grand total is due no later than 2 day(s) after confirmation of intention to book or upon booking if that date has already passed. Remaining payment is due no later than 56 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation must be made in writing. The cancellation charge will be the full deposit if you cancel before 56 days from the departure date. The following cancellation charges will also apply. Cancellation less than 56 days before departure 100% of the amount paid is chargeable. We will endeavour to re-book any cancelled booking and if successful will only charge you an administration fee of £30. If the villa is re-booked at a lower price then you will be refunded the difference.
If you have booked through Air BnB, a HomeAway partner or TripAdvisor, the cancellation policy may be different and will be described on their website.

We advise that you to take out holiday cancellation insurance. You are also asked to take out personal holiday insurance to cover such matters as travel, loss of money or belongings, accident, injury and medical expenses as the use of a property is entirely at the client’s risk. Should the owner be unable to provide the property after a booking has been confirmed, you will be immediately offered the choice of a another similar or better property or a refund in full.
