Villa Croce is an 18th-century Tuscan villa set at the end of a cypress-lined drive and surrounded by seven hectares of fully fenced private parkland. Once an aristocratic residence, it has been carefully restored and now offers a peaceful and comfortable base for families, groups and special occasions. The property is pet-friendly, and it is also suitable for weddings (please enquire).

Inside, Villa Croce has a calm, elegant feel, with many original features preserved throughout. Frescoed ceilings, antique furniture, terracotta floors and vaulted brick ceilings give character to the interiors.

The main living and dining room on the ground floor is a welcoming central space with seating, a TV and a dining table for ten. It opens directly onto the garden through an original door. Next to it is the traditional Tuscan kitchen, complete with an ancient fireplace and fully equipped for cooking at home or for a private chef.

A second living room on the first floor offers a quieter area to relax, read or enjoy the countryside views.

Across the three floors are nine bedrooms, each with its own character and outlook. Most have private bathrooms. The top floor contains three suites, two of which include their own living areas, offering extra space and privacy. The layout works well for groups, families or several couples travelling together.

The large enclosed grounds provide complete privacy and plenty of space to relax. Mediterranean trees, lawns, pergolas and shaded sitting areas are spread throughout the garden. Families will appreciate the range of outdoor activities, including table football, a ping pong table, football nets, a children’s swing and a charming garden playhouse.

The private swimming pool measures 15 x 5 metres (depth 1.30 to 2 metres) and is open from June to the end of September. Sun loungers and an outdoor shower are provided.

There are two outdoor dining areas: a covered dining space for ten guests and a second pergola with a table for six. The first-floor terrace is a quiet spot for enjoying the views. Football nets and private parking are also available.

The owners provide a generous welcome basket on arrival, including wine, pasta, local products, beer and other essentials. A private chef can be arranged for breakfasts, lunches, dinners or personalised cooking lessons. Guests may also book yoga sessions, a hairdresser, beauty treatments and a selection of private tours upon request. Mid-week cleaning is included in the cleaning fee and covers the kitchen, bathrooms and a change of linen.

Property Information

Villa Croce is located in the Valdichiana countryside with easy access to shops, cafés and restaurants. An espresso bar and a bakery are only a few minutes’ walk from the villa. A mini market is located on the road toward Lucignano, while the nearest restaurant is 2 km away (4 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot).

Lucignano (5 km) is the closest town—a beautifully preserved medieval village known for its unique circular layout, charming streets, local restaurants and the Museo Civico.

The surrounding area is dotted with numerous small villages, perfect for relaxed visits, local food and weekly markets. These include Foiano della Chiana, Marciano della Chiana, Monte San Savino, Sinalunga, Rigomagno, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Cortona della Chiana and Torrita di Siena—all within an easy drive.

The villa is also close to several well-known destinations in Tuscany and Umbria:

Payment Policies

A partial payment in the amount of 30% of the grand total is due no later than 2 day(s) after confirmation of intention to book or upon booking if that date has already passed. Remaining payment is due no later than 90 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation must be made in writing. The cancellation charge will be the full deposit if you cancel before 90 days from the departure date. The following cancellation charges will also apply. Cancellation less than 90 days before departure 100% of the amount paid is chargeable. We will endeavour to re-book any cancelled booking and if successful will only charge you an administration fee of £30. If the villa is re-booked at a lower price then you will be refunded the difference.

If you have booked through Air BnB, a HomeAway partner or TripAdvisor, the cancellation policy may be different and will be described on their website.

Tourist tax not included in the price. Payable to the owner upon arrival

We advise that you to take out holiday cancellation insurance. You are also asked to take out personal holiday insurance to cover such matters as travel, loss of money or belongings, accident, injury and medical expenses as the use of a property is entirely at the client’s risk. Should the owner be unable to provide the property after a booking has been confirmed, you will be immediately offered the choice of a another similar or better property or a refund in full.

Rules

Pets allowed- 2 dogs fee, more than 2 dogs is €100 per dog. No cats permitted.
Total number of occupants will not exceed the quoted number unless agreed.
All trash and perishables must be disposed of and dishes washed before departure.
Final cleaning of €1000 due to the owners on arrival in cash or via Paypal.
€1000 damages deposit due to the owners in cash- returned at the end of your stay.
Pool open from May to September.
The pool can be opened early/ kept open late for €600.
Towels, bed linen and pool towels provided.
